what am i working on now? well i have 3 projects going at the moment, i'm working on a knitted rug, a baby blanket and a crochet blanket. this  is the rug, i've been asked to make this for a friend, they wanted it to be grey, and yellow, with a few hints of brown. when finished it will be approximately 3 feet around. i've been enjoying knitting this. the grey part i'm using the circular ten stitch pattern, and for the yellow, it's just a simple I-cord, so the grey is being attached as i go, and the I-cord is being attached with the brown color. this seems to work up super fast. heres the link to the ten stitch circular, http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/ten-stitch-twist it looks complicated, but it's actually really simple, the hardest part is the wrap and turns, which is pretty simple once you get the hang of it, i totally recommend this pattern, and i will be making myslef a ten stitch blanket, when i finish these few projects.  but if you get conf
so i've obviously been lacking on the blog. for a long time i was frustrated with it because i wasnt getting any followers, so i just stopped writing, but i never stopped knitting. knitting is my passion i love it, i'm constantly thinking about it, new projects or how to turn crochet patterns into a knitted piece. so even though i dont really have any followers right now, im going to try and be better at blogging, and maybe eventually ill get more people. so i think for now i'll use it as kind of a journal type thing for my knitting or crochet projects. i think that will help me get into the habit of being a better blogger.               so right now i'm working on three projects, and getting ready to add a fourth, i know four at once, well i tend to get bored of one project, so i work on multiple projects at once and just rotate through them when i get tired of one. some times i feel overwhelmed because i'm doing a lot at once, and yes it makes them take a little

Simple headband/ ear warmer.

I found this adorable pattern on ravelry.com (i'm madly in love with that site!!) the pattern is called Bow Headband by   Beth Postelwait  you can find the pattern here: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/bow-headband-2  I've always wanted to make some ear warmers but thought they looked to complicated with all the increases and decreases. well i found this pattern and decided it looked easy enough so i thought i'd try it, and i absolutely love it, it is super simple and works up really fast, i made this ear warmer in under an hour! i'm not normally a bow type of person, but even with the pink bow i love this! the one mistake that i made was showing it to my mother, because she loved it so much that she "borrowed" it indefinitely. which is fine since it's simple to make (although i have not made another one) but i am going to make some for friends this winter! Super easy, super simple, and super cute!! let me know if you try this pattern and

knitted plastic bag holder.

You know those plastic grocery bags we all have laying around?  ya well i got tired of them cluttering up the cabinet under my sink, so i went online to find a pattern to make something i could put them all in, i found a few patterns but they weren't big enough, the one that i found that i really liked they person wanted $10.00 for the pattern, i'm cheap so i wasn't going to pay for a pattern. So i finally decided to try and make my own. here's what i came up with.      While it's not perfect, it does the job. it's pretty plain, but i'm quit proud of myself for making it without a pattern.  I worked this flat on straight needles and then sewed the edges together to make it round. i might make another one in the future and add a design or possibly some cables just to give it some character. here's my pattern for those that would like to make one... or three :D haha. Cast on 40 stitches.  (I used an U.S. size 9 needles) worked about 35

here's a baby blanket that I knitted for a dear friend of mine, she had a beautiful baby boy!                                                                                       I started off by making all the center squares. ( the whole blanket is done in garter stitch) Grabbing second color, picked up stitches evenly on one side. knitted in garter stitch for about 10 rows  and continued to pick up along each side all the way around Adding the third color and continuing the same process    Adding the fourth color. First square completed with all the colors. was having a hard time trying to get the bright green to show up in the pictures, this one show it pretty well.   Sorry Dog kinda photo bombed these (he was sleeping and rolled over. lol :) )     And the almost finished project. I did put a boarder on, i just forgot to take pictures of it all completed, for the border i just too the color of the middle square and went

Penguin throw blanket

For Christmas (2012) i made my brother-in-law a throw blanket. theres about 252 granny Squares in these three containers. i organized them by rows                                                these are all the different colors i used Lining up the Rows and sewing them together.                                     Trying to figure out how to do an invisible seem. this is actually a bright red, dunno why it came out orange in the pic. About half way done   And Finally the Finished Product.   And Finally The Boarder. which is just a Granny Square around the blanket. I found this pattern pretty easy, since it is just a lot of small granny squares, however after about the 30th square i did get tired of making them! but i love the end result, and my brother-in-law loves his blanket, which is what matters the most! this is a very simple easy beginner blanket. i found this pattern on www

it's been a while.

it's been a long while (over a year) since i last posted anything, a lot of it had to do with schooling at the time, i just didn't have time to focus on trying to graduate and a blog, also i just really haven't been motivated to blog, don't get me wrong i love being able to share my crafts, and it's not because i haven't been knitting or crocheting, i just haven't been in the mood to blog. i keep thinking i need to blog, i need to post all the things I've been working on.  so i'm going to try and be better at this blogging thing. now that i don't have to focus on school, although i am studying to take my state test this month, on the 22nd, which i am now starting to freak out a bit. i am currently working on 2 blankets, i will do my best to keep you all updated. i will also try to post more often.
